Your dentist in Mt. Juliet will begin by cleaning and numbing your mouth in preparation for treatment. Sedation may be provided if you would like or if your dentist thinks it’s necessary. A dental drill will then be used to remove the decayed enamel and reshape your tooth to create a stable platform for your new dental crown.
Using dental putty or a 3D scanner, we will create impressions or models of your teeth, which will be used to build your custom dental crown. We’ll also capture some additional images of your teeth to ensure that your new crown matches the shade of your natural smile perfectly. After imaging your tooth, Dr. Berry will design and mill your crown right here in the office. The entire process can often be completed in less than two hours. While the crown is milling, you can sit back and relax until its time to cement the final product!
Once your crown is complete, we’ll first ensure that your new crown fits comfortably and make any final adjustments. When we’ve achieved the right fit, Dr. Berry will permanently secure it in place with a powerful dental adhesive. In a single visit, you'll have a brand new crown that will stand the test of time!
